The Inspiring Story of Bright Kids Coaching
The seeds of Bright Kids Coaching were planted in the heart of a passionate educator and mother who had witnessed firsthand the struggles children face in their academic and personal journeys. With twenty years of experience working with children and a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mary understood the challenges families encounter.
Driven by a deep belief that every child has a unique purpose and potential, she was moved by the overwhelming sense of helplessness many parents experience when their children encounter difficulties. Her professional background as a teacher and counselor converged with her personal experiences of motherhood.
Bright Kids Coaching emerged as a response to this calling - a commitment to standing beside families, understanding the root of their challenges, and providing a compassionate, comprehensive framework. Her vision was to empower children to thrive academically, socially, and personally, going beyond quick fixes and offering genuine, supportive guidance.

Yes, we do! While we have an extensive curriculum that we use, we always do a client consultation with every family, coach, and team to determine exactly what they want support in.
And our sessions and presentations are tailored to the specific and individual needs of every client.

We offer both. Children can have one-on-one coaching, families can have group sessions, and teams can have full team sessions. We also do speaking and teaching sessions with associations, non-profits, schools, and conferences.

We always start with a client consultation session where a family or coach articulates exactly what their goal is and what they want to get out of our partnership. We then do the same thing with each child. At the end of every session, we bring in parents or guardians to reflect on what has been learned, what has changed, and what still needs improvement. We then send progress reports and team updates through the year that reflect on these goals and offer suggestions. We want to have clear targets for every client and properly determine if we are meeting them.

Our sessions can be either 30 or 60 minutes in length. We recommend starting with three sessions so you can build rapport with your coach and have a good understanding of our program. We teach foundational concepts in those first few sessions that pave the way for future skills. Most clients continue working with us on an ongoing basis to learn new material, get weekly support, or to do maintenance throughout the athletic season.

Yes, every client speaks directly with Coach Mary before services and programming begin. We offer a free 15-minute phone call.
